New Prospective Puppy Owners – Please read carefully as our process is here to ensure an awesome experience for you and the golden retriever puppy!
PLEASE NOTE: To reserve and acquire a puppy from Slater Creek Golden Retrievers, a puppy application/questionnaire form be completed and submitted to us. Please understand that these are just some questions to help us to get to know you and understand what your needs are for your future “furry” family member.
We believe that a puppy is a great delight and a big responsibility. It is OK if you do not know the answer to some of the questions. Do the best you can. We will be in touch and will do the best to help you get a puppy you will love.

Slater Creek Process & Procedures
- Puppies can’t be shipped by United Pet cargo. Out of the area customers will need to pick up your pup in person or fly in and fly it home under your seat. This ensures you get your puppy home safe and sound.
- We require a $400 deposit to hold a Golden Retriever Puppy. Deposits are non-refundable.
- We do limited registration only.
- For the convenience of everyone, I reserve the right to select your puppy if you do not make your time slot on the pick up date.
- Puppies go fast! We are not responsible to hold any places for anyone before deposits are made. Deposits made by phone. Contact Us between 9am and 6pm Mountain Time.
- We reserve the right to refuse applications to anyone we feel will not provide a safe or positive environment for our puppies. Our dogs’ safety and happiness come first.
Quick Steps for Puppy Selection Success!
Once you are 100% sure you want one of our puppies, take the following steps…
Step 1: Look at the current breedings or litters we have or are upcoming.
Step 2: Please put your info in on the contact us page, and send us an email about what breeding you are interested in.
Step 3: Before puppies are born we only take deposits on the first pick, second, and possibly third picks on both male and female.
Step 4: If I have the spots still available please be ready to put down your deposit, otherwise you will have to wait til the puppies are born.
Step 5: After puppies are born and all spots are filled you will be told what pick you have.
Deposits Determine Puppy Picking Order
1st come, 1st served. Approved applications who deposit first are how we arrange puppy picking orders.
Please check our website often for updates on golden retriever puppies and mothers and coordinate with owner, Linda Graef, on pick up dates and times.
IF YOU DID NOT GET A SPOT FOR A PUPPY BECAUSE WE DIDN’T HAVE ANY LEFT…
Don’t worry, we have multiple litters per year and you can get on our waiting list. Please understand we will have future breedings. Check the website often and follow the same steps as above to be able to get your puppy.
